For this event I attended the Fowler Museum on campus. I would relate this event to the topic “two cultures.” I found it very interesting because it combined race and art together. Walking throughout the museum learning about African American Fashion, Pantsula 4 life and Enduring Splendor. For this event I focused on the two cultures of African American Fashion and art. With these two different cultures combined together it really related back to the first class of our class. African American Fashion Art The designer Lisa Folawiyo from Nigeria creates bright colors, composite patterns in her unique work. Her work African art based on her culture that she sees everyday in her lifestyle. With her African fashion combine with art has expanded her network and thrived all across the globe. Folawiyo combination of African fashion and art has inspired her culture and many others around the world. Myself with Folawiyo's work   Also the artist Sam Vernon combined technology

In this weeks material we talked about the combination of space and art and how it has influenced our lives. I found this topic to be very interesting because without the advancements of these two topics our history wouldn’t be the same. Heliocentric Model Nicolaus Copernicus who was very smart, studied law, math and also studied astronomy. Copernicus used his mathematical talents to be very detailed in his work, which led to his heliocentric model in 1512. In this model he had the sun in the middle of the solar system but slightly off set. Copernicus work was so influential to astronomers and others that you can see him on Polish money, space, rockets and a crater on the moon. Telescope Later on in the 17 th century another breakout for space and art was the invention of the telescope.
